We aim to provide a safe environment, whilst still providing the friendly personal service we have become known for. We have implemented procedures that respect social distancing. Keeping a respectful distance need not be anti-social. We will still be available if you have a question or need help, and for a good old fashioned conversation, albeit from a little further apart than normal!
For those of you that have stayed with us before, there will be a few subtle changes in evidence to ensure everyone's safety.
We will ask you to check in after 3pm, which is a little later than normal (to allow for enhanced cleaning), and ask you to complete a guest registration (apologies if you have done this on a previous visit) for contact tracing. Your disinfected key will be in your door. Please leave the key in the door when you check out.
We are well known for serving a great breakfast! The only change is that as per the government guidelines, we are unable to provide the buffet options. There will be time slots, and we will ask you to order from your table, which will be allocated to you for the duration of your stay, and the tables will be suitably arranged to meet the guidelines.
There is hand sanitizer at the front door, and on every landing, along with antibacterial wipes. We have always had the highest levels of cleaning, but we will be elevating this even further by increasing the cleaning and disinfecting frequency throughout the guesthouse, paying particular attention to touch points. Hard surfaces will be cleaned with approved products, and soft furnishings will be treated with anti-bacterial soft surface spray. We will continue to service the rooms daily, unless you request otherwise.
We will not be closing the guest lounge, but we do ask you to respect social distancing in the hallways, staircases and communal areas.
We want everyone to stay safe and well and the best way to do this is to minimize the risk of the virus entering the property. So, if within 14 days of check-in you have had Covid-19 symptoms, been tested for Covid-19, or knowingly been in contact with someone who has symptoms, or tested positive, you will not be allowed to check-in, and will be asked to return home.
Should you exhibit Covid-19 symptoms whilst staying with us, we can advise you on how to get a test, and should you test positive, you will be asked to check out and return home as per the government guidelines on travelling. If you decide to self-isolate with us, you will be charged for every additional night you spend with us. You must remain in your room, and you can order in extra food and medical supplies to be delivered to your door, we can help you with this if needed.
Most importantly, we want you to have a pleasant and enjoyable stay, and remain safe!
If we are required to close as a result of Covid-19, we will refund all payments made in full, or you may prefer to accept a credit note against a future stay.
You will be required to cancel your booking if within 14 days of check-in if you have had Covid-19 symptoms, been tested for Covid-19, or knowingly been in contact with someone who has symptoms, or tested positive. Under these circumstances, you will be entitled to reschedule your stay free of charge.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Bedford Lodge! Best Wishes, Gilly & Gary
