Credit cards are also accepted but incur a 2% handling charge. Cheques are only accepted to pay a balance, when they are received 2 weeks in advance of stay. Cheques unfortunately cannot be accepted after your arrival. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURECheck in from 2PM or earlier by arrangement. Check out time 11.00AM. DOGSWell-behaved dogs are always welcome at the Lodge by prior arrangement. A small nightly charge is levied. This acceptance is conditional upon dogs not being allowed on any furniture or on/in beds. You must bring your own dog bedding, feeding equipment and food. Dogs are allowed in a designated bedroom that allows access into the room directly from the garden. Therefore dogs are not allowed into the general areas of the hotel. Dogs should be kept on their leads when in the garden or being taken to the adjacent park. Any fouling of the garden areas must be cleared and deposited into the Lodge’s external bin. CHILDRENChildren under the age of 7 are only accepted with prior agreement. Children must be kept under parental supervision at all times while in the Lodge and also in the gardens. Many areas of the garden are not suitable for young children due to their sloping nature or types of plants. Children are not allowed into the general areas of the Lodge without an adult present. PARKINGThe Bedford Lodge has it’s own private car park for 8 vehicles via Eastcliff Road. Owners leave their vehicles here at their own risk. The Lodge can take no responsibility for cars or their contents and no guarantee of a space is given. No vehicle keys can be left with or cars moved, by members of staff. LOST PROPERTYA £5 charge plus post and package costs, payable in advance, will be made to return lost property. This is given as a donation to the two charities we support, Gift to Nature and the Red Squirrel Trust. Any items not requested back within 2 weeks of departure will automatically be given to charity or destroyed. ALCOHOLThe Lodge has a licensed bar. Only alcohol brought on the premises can be consumed within.
CONSUMPTION OF FOODOnly food cooked and provided on the premises can be consumed within, unless prior agreement given by management. Hot food cannot be taken to rooms. DAMAGE TO HOTEL PROPERTYGuests causing damage to the building, fixtures or fittings will be charged for their replacement or repair. The person paying for the booking will be deemed liable if the guest themselves is unable to pay. NO SMOKING POLICYAll areas within the building are strictly designated as non-smoking. The Lodge does not have smoking rooms but we do have two ground floor rooms, which give access to the garden where smoking is allowed. These rooms may be more convieneint but must be requested at time of booking. Anyone who smokes in his or her room will be liable for a £20 cleaning charge. If an individual persists in smoking, they will be asked to settle their bill, including the cleaning charge and unfortunately be asked to vacate the premises immediately. |
